Nobody knows exactly who invented this garment, which, over the years became famous and produced by all the fashion houses, the trench coat.
Let’s discover it together!
The classic famous trench was introduced by Burberry, who invented and patented the gabardine, a heavy cotton fabric that was not allowing water to pass through. The trench is therefore considered made in England par excellence.
For the vintage and classic addicted but also revisited for every kind of taste and genre, the trench coat is a timeless garment, loved and worn by everybody. There are very light trenches which are suitable for the slightly warm and rainy seasons; while there are also heavier trenches fitted out with an internal padding that makes them suitable for the cold winter temperatures. Up to today, the trench coat is also considered a classic feminine garment which donates elegance and refinement.
As it is mostly considered a male garment, we decided to show you this classic and fascinating piece of art in the male version.
Let’s figure it out together!
The trench that we have chosen, was realized by Sartoria di Milano Acquadimare. It is a classic blue lined gabardine trench coat. Suitable for fresh temperatures as in Autumn and Spring, not recommended for low winter temperatures.
It also has a waist belt, collar, side pockets and a strap on the cuffs.
We matched it with a dark grey suit, light gray shirt, tie by Mr&Mrs Pochette and brown double buckle leather shoes.
What do you think?
